After the demise of Joy Division, British rock band New Order formed in 1980 to bring post-punk and electronic music to their fans, providing a twist on the original classics. While the original legacy of Joy Division clouded their beginning career, they shot to fame with their dance music in the New York club scene.
Power, Corruption, & Lies (1983) was one of their most successful albums, with their first venture into synthesized music. They still are touring today, but their 1989 tour was one of their first major successes, right before their first break up.
